Fishtrap Fireside

A chance for local writers to read and share their work

One reliable sign that fall has indeed returned to Wallowa County is the return of Fishtrap Fireside. From October to April, Wallowa county writers, their neighbors and friends come to the Fishtrap House on the second Friday of the month for an evening filled with prose, poetry, and laughter— set in the glow of a warm fire. Each month we feature three writers, and then we turn the podium over to you with the open “Mike” portion of our program. Mark your calendars and grab a seat. There are sure to be surprises in store!

Thanks for a great season of readings.

The 4th season of Fishtrap Fireside wrapped up April 14, and like every month, the Fishtrap house was filled to capacity. We’d like to extend a grateful thanks to Amy Zahm for curating Fireside again this year and for providing a wide diversity of voices each month. Fishtrap Fireside returns in October with what we expect to be another great lineup of Wallowa County writers and readers.
