Roots & Branches in Song: A 2-Day Songwriting Workshop
Create a song from the roots and branches of your family tree. Learn creative techniques that utilize perspectives from Leonardo daVinci to Twyla Tharp, and then craft memories and impressions into your song representing the personality of your family mythology. No musical experience needed to participate. House band support on guitar, banjo, and uke from Steve Einhorn and Kate Power.
NOTE: This songwriting workshop takes place the afternoons of Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 13 from 1-3pm, and can be taken in conjunction with a morning writing workshop. Registration is $150.
