This year’s conference features week long workshops in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, memoir, documentary, and songwriting all taught by nationally recognized instructors. The week also includes a host of other events including a keynote address by Kathleen Dean Moore, panel discussions, open mics, youth workshops, craft talks, and plenty of time to write all in the beautiful setting of Wallowa Lake.

2018 Summer Fishtrap faculty:

Summer Fishtrap takes place every July in the heart of the Wallowa Mountains at the south end of Wallowa Lake. Instructors come from around the country to provide intensive instruction to a small group of writers. Classes are limited to no more than 13 students, which gives every writer the chance to share their work in an intimate and supportive environment.
