Ranger Cheri:  Cheri Lonborg was born in the beautiful state of Washington, she has lived in Oregon since 1993. While very young her grandmother would tell her how her ancestors traveled the Oregon Trail in 1848, and how one of them picked up and kept an Ox shoe that she has to this day. She has worked at the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center (NHOTIC) for a total of almost 20 years. In that time, she has researched and read many journals and diaries, some heartbreaking, but many successful. At the Interpretive Center, she performs many different interpretive programs. Her character in these programs is Elizabeth, based on one of her ancestors who traveled the on the Oregon Trail.

Are you in Wallowa County? Join us at Fishtrap during Fishtrap Reads as we watch the presentations from the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center together. Following each 30 minute screening, we’ll share our thoughts and and reflections on what we’ve just seen, and how they relate to The Jump-Off Creek. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to bring your lunch!
