Mike Midlo joined Fishtrap in 2013. Before that, he was a staff producer at Oregon Public Broadcasting, producing documentaries and features for the station’s flagship programs Oregon Experience and Oregon Art Beat while earning two Emmy Awards and three nominations along the way. Midlo is also a songwriter and music producer who has released seven records and received both Regional Arts and Culture Council and Wallowa County Cultural Trust artist grants. Along with music, Midlo directed a number of companion music videos which were featured in film festivals in Portland, Seattle, and New York City. He enjoys gardening, fermenting foods, hiking with dogs, baseball, and wrenching on old motorcycles.
