Tent Camping and other Affordable Options
Wallowa Lake State Park is a short walk from Wallowa Lake Lodge and has a number of individual camp spots and yurts available to rent. Contact the Oregon State Park reservation system.
Cabins, B&Bs, and More
The Wallowa Lake area offers many other lodging options to fit most any budget from cabin rentals at the lake to motels and B&Bs in the nearby town of Joseph. Contact the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce for more information. Be sure to tell them you’re going to Summer Fishtrap!
Wallowa Lake Methodist Camp has a variety of affordable tent sites, bunkhouse lodging, and yurts for rent that are a short walk from Wallowa Lake Lodge. Contact Peggy Lovegren at wallowalakecamp@gmail.com or call 541-432-1271 for rates and availability.
Meals
To share a meal with the Summer Fishtrap community of writers at the beautiful Wallowa Lake Lodge is one of the best parts of the week. The lodge will offer a variety of meal options from table service breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, to tasty pub food sandwiches, and grab-and-go items. You are also welcome to bring outside meals to the lodge and dine with everyone. There are lots of options available at the Lake, in nearby Joseph and beyond. Need a ride to Wallowa Lake? Have extra room in your cabin? Want to connect with other Summer Fishtrap folks early?
