Heart of Gold: Acting and Writing Truthfully Under Imaginary Circumstances
Flashy glitter or solid gold? How do we know when what we’ve written or how we perform connects with our audience? Join poet and lyrical essayist Cameron Scott and thespian Amy Fairchild in this weeklong generative workshop full of play and expression. Each day we will embark on both writing and acting prompts that help us delve into the solid gold guts of ourselves that we can then share with the world. Be brave. Be bold… and you might find this week helps you strike gold!
Cameron Scott is a writer, teacher, and fly-fishing guide who lives in NE Oregon with his wife, newborn daughter Magnus, and two island dogs from South Andros. His work has appeared in various fly-fishing magazines like The Drake, The Fly-Fishing and Tying Journal, Swing the Fly, Trout’s ‘The Current,’ Tail, and The Flyfish Journal. He teaches 7th-12th grade English. If he could transport himself anywhere, it would be to a middle-of-nowhere flat in the ocean, but really, any center of the known or unknown universe will do.
