Calling all young writers and storytellers!

Do you know a budding storyteller in your life who is looking for a way  to unleash their creativity? Dive into a week of imagination and creative writing at the 2024 Summer Fishtrap Youth Workshop week

From June 24th to 28th, young writers entering grades 5-12 for the 2024-25 school year will embark on a literary adventure at Fishtrap in Enterprise, Oregon. There, they’ll explore creative writing and storytelling in a weeklong workshop designed to help them to express what’s inside, learn to listen to the stories of others and connect with a community of storytellers.

Youth entering Grades 5 – 8: Unlock the secrets of authentic expression in “Heart of Gold: Acting and Writing Truthfully Under Imaginary Circumstances.” Led by Cameron Scott and Amy Fairchild, this immersive workshop invites participants to explore their inner truths through writing and acting exercises, paving the way for genuine connections with their audience.

Youth entering Grades 9 – 12: Is your writing feeling flat? Need to put some kick in the cowbell and soul in your writing step? Or just up for an amazing writing workshop? Join Fishtrap Writer-in-Residence, community creator, word magician, and brave space provider Jason Graham aka MOsely WOtta for a week of exploration, boundary pushing, and connection.

Registration Fee: Sliding scale from $25-225
